Debbie and Heather Rossignol sent this picture and story to us, Heather had Come home from school with this picture shortly after the 20/20 show aired- When asked by her mom to tell about the picture, Heather typed the following statement without physical support.
WHEN I WAS A GIRL COULD BE FOR ROPE MY CAT SMUDGE IS NICE AND SHE IS VERY KIND WHAT DO YOU THINK

THIS IS MY PICTURE I MADE IT IS ABOUT 55/50. THERE WAS A VERY LOT OF FISHES AND LOOKING AND NO OXYGEN IN MY HOUSE THEY CALLED IT AN INTERVIEW BUT IT WASNT IT WAS FISHING AND WE WERE THE BAIT MY FAMILY WAS UNDERWATER I THINJK THERE WAS A SHARK WITH VERY SHAEP TEETH THAT TOOK A BITE FROM US DONT THEY KNOWW WERE TELLING TRUTH FOR OTHERS JUST LERNING TO SWIM IN WORLD WITH NO FINS?
KIDS CAN LEARN HOW TO SWIM BUT USING FINS IS A LOT EASIER. ITS THE SAME WITH FC.NOONE SS FOR THE PERSON THEY JUST GIVE THEM FINS.AND TEACH THEM TO SWIM ALONE. BUT THERE ARE TO MANY FISHES AND BAD SHARKS WITH BIG BITES.

The purpose of Facilitated Communication In Maine is to promote the appropriate use of facilitated communication through education, technical assistance, and support to people with disabilities, parents, educators, speech and language pathologists support providers, and other interested individuals. The project provides up-to-date information on current best practices, introductory and advanced workshops on the technique, resources regarding theoretical and practical components of facilitated communication and ongoing support to a network of resource persons who provide local education and support to other facilitators.
