Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies
New Inclusive Education Coordinator

The Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies is pleased to announce that Betsy Enright has assumed the position of Inclusive Education Coordinator. Betsy has served as an educational specialist for the Center for the past seven years, and has collaborated statewide with Maine schools and districts, families, and state agencies providing technical assistance and outreach training on inclusive education, state and local standards reform, curriculum, instruction and assessment in heterogeneous classrooms and positive behavioral supports. She has also served at various times as interim coordinator of several of the Center's Inclusive Education projects. Betsy has provided staff development at the state and national level and has worked closely with the Maine Department of Education, MADSEC and other organizations, including local school districts issues , alternate assessment, professional development and implementation of the Learning Results for all students.

Prior to joining the Center Betsy worked in public schools providing speech and language services, special and regular education and coordination of special education. In her new role Betsy will be providing leadership to the Center’s inclusive education team, coordination of the inclusive education projects, and serving as a member of the Center’s administrative planning team. She will be the contact person for technical assistance requests in our continuing to partnership with our colleagues throughout the state.
