Dusting Off the Toolbox
provides information to help instructors prepare, conduct, and review
their presentations. It is divided into three sections, with basic
information and simple resources or activities to assist instructors as
they reflect upon their teaching practices and plan for a training event.
The Maine Health Care Notebook was designed by
members of the Family Advisory Council to Maine's Children with
Special Health Needs program and published under the Maine Works for
Youth! project.
Long-Term Care Learning Modules, an interactive multimedia learning
module, developed by The University of Maine's Center for Community
Inclusion and Disability Studies (CCIDS) and supported by funds from
the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources
and Service Administration, Bureau of Health Professions.
This manual is the result of a three year project
designed to assist Maine citizens with mental retardation to create
self advocacy networks throughout the state.
This
module uses the lens of Explanatory Legitimacy to discuss and analyze
domestic violence and disability and to suggest a structure for teaching
and learning in social work curricula.
This Disabilities Conference contains
postings and links to Students with Disabilities in Higher Education and
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Laws discussions
The CCIDS Early Childhood team is working
to ensure that all infants, preschoolers, and children to age 12 have an
opportunity to be cared for and educated in high-quality, inclusive
community early care and education settings.
CCIDS faculty and staff present at a variety of
conferences, workshops, and poster sessions.
CCIDS maintains a Resource Center, which
contains over 10,000 books, monographs, journals, videos, audiotapes,
articles, and assessment tools
relating to disability issues.
The Service Tapestry is a user-friendly, searchable database of resources
for youth, family members, educators and service providers, to locate
supports and services within their area.
