A Universal Design for Learning Collaboration

Excellence and Equity in Higher Education: a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) project is
sponsored by the University Center for Excellence in Disabilities (UCED) at
the University of Massachusetts-Boston, in collaboration with the University
of Maine Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies (CCIDS),
and the UCEDs at Rhode Island College, the University of New Hampshire, and
the University of Vermont. This project is intended to advance universal
access to higher education through the development of
concepts and techniques of universal design and access, and educating
faculty in these concepts and techniques. Over five semesters,
a leadership team will work with faculty in a model universally accessible
learning environment to promote universally accessible teaching and learning
in higher education.
