Hi, I am Jesse and I live in Edmunds, Maine on a farm that has
been in the family for nine generations. My family owns Tide Mill Farms and I
work on the farm feeding the animals and helping with gardens. I also work
part-time at a store in Machias. I am 23 years old and I have been involved with
YEA ME since 2001.
For many years I have helped out with childcare at Special Family Weekend at
Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine. I am also a member of the Whiting
Volunteer Fire Department.
I really like salvage yards and older vehicles. I have a 1953 Studebaker truck
that I hope to restore and have on display at the Owl's Head Transportation
Museum.
I have autism, a sensory integration disorder. I have done presentations about
autism for classes at the University of Maine and at conferences in Boston and
Chicago. I want to continue telling people about what it is like to be a person
who has autism.
