Youth Educators & Advocators of Maine

The Youth Educators & Advocators of Maine (YEA ME!) is a group of seven youth, gathered from around the state of Maine, to serve as an advisory council for Maine's Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) program. The purpose of YEA ME! is to provide awareness of the needs of youth in transition from youth to being an adult. Another website you might want to take a look at are the Maine Works for Youth! Youth Pages, located at http://www.ccids.umaine.edu/archive/maineworks/youth.

One of the major objectives of YEA ME! is centered around providing education & awareness to other youth so they can make informed decisions about their future and their transition to adult health care, education, and employment. The YEA ME! is also assisting the CSHCN program with developing policies for further development of their program.
