My name is Chelsea and I have been involved with the Transition Planning process since 1998, when I was a freshman in high school. The Transition Planning process has helped me in so many ways. Some of the ways that the Transition Planning process has helped my life is…the support, the knowledge, the trust, and the caring of the staff, as well as my peers. I cannot begin to let you all know how greatly I appreciate the help. It goes beyond a helping hand with homework; it goes all the way to anything such as an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on.

This program kept me in school. It gave me the strength to go on and turn my dreams into reality. This process and especially the staff have been here for me through high school and college.

I am in college right now because of one major reason. That reason is the thanks of and because of a wonderful program and the staff of Transition Planning and Betsy, Sam, Mom, Dad, Morgan, and all my friends. To this day this program and Betsy have been able to give me the support when all I wanted to do is give up. They have believed in me when I had stopped believing in myself. Through my life I have run into numerous walls and with this program it has helped me knock those walls down.

Thank you Betsy for keeping the Transition Planning process alive for us students. Thank you Mom, Dad, and Morgan for your endless support and love. Thank you friends for passing on this wonderful program.

I can truly say that the Transition Planning process saved my life and stopped me from dropping out of high school.
