The lesson plans were developed under a grant from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, administered by Maine Primary Care Association and The Maine Department of Human Services to the Penquis Community Action Program.

In a collaborative effort with the Maine's Healthy and Ready to Work Initiative, Maine Works for Youth! at The University of Maine Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies, Maine's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service the lesson plans were printed and disseminated to middle schools and high schools throughout the state of Maine.

The Maine Works for Youth! project is funded by grant # HO 1 MC00028-01 from the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (Title V, Social Security Act), Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
