Below is an alphabetical listing of projects that were completed more than one year ago.

CDA Pathways

A community education initiative designed to develop a model for statewide CDA leadership training to improve the quality of child care in Maine funded through a subcontract from Kennebec Valley Community Action Program's DHS/DMHMRSAS Statewide Child Care Quality Improvement Project.

Leading ME to Promising Futures

A 4-year model demonstration project funded by the US Department of Education designed to develop, implement, evaluate and disseminate a model of whole school reform consistent with Promising Futures.

MATP: Maine Adolescent Transition Partnership

Maine's Healthy & Ready to Work initiative, designed to collaboratively implement a statewide structure to ensure that adolescents with special health care needs, including disabilities, will transition smoothly to post secondary educational programs, employment, and adult living with the services and supports they require to lead successful, meaningful and inclusive lives in the communities of their choice.

Maines Inclusive Preschool Project

A technical assistance and capacity building effort designed to enhance and support quality developmental therapy for young children with disabilities conducted in collaboration with the Maine Department of Education and Child Development Services with funding from the Maine Developmental Disabilities Council.

ME Works!: Maine Works for Youth!

Maine's new Health & Ready to Work initiative, the Maine Works for Youth! project is working to achieve the six core outcome indicators of Achieving and Measuring Success for Children with Special Health Care Needs by 2010.

Modular Long Term Care

A collaboration with rural schools of allied health and Maine middle and high schools to provide preservice education, continuing education and interactive virtual modules in rural Long Term Care. This project includes Kids into Health Careers, which seeks to inform students, parents and teachers about health careers.

Multi-State Employment Project (DOL)

A US Department of Labor funded technical assistance project designed to increase the number of youth and adults with severe disabilities who are employed.

The Principal’s Project

A project to identify, enhance, and disseminate effective strategies for ensuring that students with disabilities are integrally included as part of building-wide school improvement and reform initiatives and are accommodated accordingly.

REIS/LID - Rural Early Intervention Specialists / Low Incidence Disabilities

A personnel preparation program designed to provide graduate education in early intervention.

TIP - Training Initiative Project: Supporting Diversity in Our Community

A community education initiative designed to enhance and support direct support professionals as they assume new roles as community connectors and facilitators of relationships and valued roles for individuals with developmental disabilities in inclusive communities.
